The company will donate 15% of the lease of a taxi cab to the Placer Breast Cancer Foundation, and they will provide donation envelopes in their Pink Taxi Cab for those who would like to make a cash/check donation. Cookies for a Cause: Kelli's Pink Ribbon Cookie

Kelli’s Cookies in Roseville has introduced a new cookie with our cause in mind! Kelli is passionate about finding a cure for breast cancer after losing her mother to this disease when she was 5. In honor of her mother, and to raise funds towards a cure, Kelli's Cookies will now carry these special Cookies for a Cause. The new cookies are $2.50 each. Profits from each cookie sold will benefit Placer Breast Cancer Foundation.

The Placer Breast Cancer Foundation includes breast cancer survivors and community activists committed to fully funding the Breast Cancer Endowed Chair at the UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center. The members are also determined to raise awareness regarding breast cancer prevention, early detection, and support services available during treatment.

Date Formed: 2005

Amount Raised as of May 2014: $1.5 million has been raised by the Foundation since July 2005

Fundraising Goal: The UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center requests that $1.5 million be donated to fully fund an endowed chair. The Placer Breast Cancer Foundation's goal is to raise and present the funds to the UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Foundation Members: Foundation membership now numbers 120 active participants.

Nonprofit Status: The Foundation operates as a volunteer organization with administrative costs associated with the bookkeeping and minimal fundraising activities.
The Placer Breast Cancer Foundation Fund is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (tax ID# 27-0690037) and contributions made to the fund are tax deductible to the extent allowable by law.

Founders: Breast cancer survivors Carol Garcia, Senior Vice President of Community 1st Bank and Roseville City Councilwoman and Teri Munger, Program Manager, American River College.

Signature Events: The Foundation's Hot Pink Fun Run at the Roseville Civic Plaza held each September to kick-off Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Donations: Individual donations are accepted at any time and can be mailed to PBCE, PO Box 564, Roseville, CA 95678. A receipt will be provided by the Foundation.

Annual Operating Budget: The Foundation operates as a volunteer organization with administrative costs only associated with financial services per federal and state guidelines for nonprofits.
