
The South Placer UC Davis Breast Cancer Endowment includes breast cancer survivors and community activists committed to fully funding the Breast Cancer Endowed Chair at the UC Davis Cancer Center. The members are also determined to raise awareness regarding breast cancer prevention, early detection, and support services available during treatment.

Amount Raised as of January 2005: $600,000 has been raised by the Endowment since July 2005
Fundraising Goal: The UC Davis Cancer Center requests that $1.5 million be donated to fully fund an endowed chair. The South Placer UC Davis Breast Cancer Endowment goal is to raise this amount and present the funds to the UC Davis Cancer Center in 2010.
Endownment Members: Endowment membership now numbers 120 active participants
Nonprofit Status: The Endowment operates as a completely volunteer organization with no administrative costs associated with the fundraising activities.
Founders: Breast Cancer Survivors Carol Garcia, Senior Vice President of Granite Community Bank and Roseville City Councilwoman and Teri Munger, Executive Director, PEACE for Families in Auburn, CA
Signature Events: The Endowment hosts two signature events each year. The Signe King Memorial is held each May at La Provence Restaurant in Roseville to honor former commercial real estate broker Signe King who died from breast cancer in 2006. The Annual Pink & White Ball and the Historic Old Town Roseville Fun Run are held each October in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Donations: Individual donations are accepted at any time and can be mailed to SPBCE, PO Box 564, Roseville, CA 95678. A receipt will be provided by the Sacramento Region Community Foundation
